Celebrity use has driven up the demand for semaglutide as a weight loss drug, leading to a shortage that has lasted for over a year. This study aims to explore the alternatives to semaglutide that can be utilized during the shortage, as well as present more effective long-term replacements.

ALS-induced Gene Dysregulation Increases Blood Glucose and Sodium Levels in Patients

J. Lee, M. Bharath, H. Lai
2024 GIDAS Research Conference - Top 9, Selected as an oral presenter

The most common form of Motor Neuron Disease (MND), Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. This paper dives into two pathways and genes linked to the dysregulation in ALS patients without specific mutations to understand the changes at genetic level, its effects on the biological pathways, and the cause of symptoms.

Jiho L., Hyunchae K., Hyoju L., Subin P.
2023 Chungcheongbuk-do Climate Crisis Solveathon - 2nd Place

The extreme rise of heating cost caused by the unstable oil prices and the climate crisis is a problem not only present in Korea but also around the world. In addition, briquette, oil, and LPG-powered heating systems, which are most widely used by the vulnerable, emit unimaginable amount of greenhouse gases that cause major environmental problems. Therefore, we came up with an insurance policy to cope both the environmental and financial sector of the vulnerable to allow them to experience warmth in freezing Winters.

- Speaker at the Conference of Ministry of HIgher Education, Research, and Innovation of Oman
- Speaker at the Junior Academy Symposium

Kanad is a deep learning neural network-based Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled intelligent irrigation system designed to predict soil moisture levels using a long short-term memory network (LSTM). This machine learning component improves its accuracy with each entry, enabling farmers to use water more wisely than traditional sprinkler irrigation systems. Furthermore, Kanad uses sensors to collect data from the farm field, which is processed by a convolutional neural network (CNN) to predict potential crop diseases, and suggest appropriate fertilizers based on soil conditions...
